Exposure: a photography project and self-help combined

About me

Skulls are an important personal reminder about life’s reality but also not to shy away from things that unsettle, that they too are beautiful in their own way

I’m not a professional photographer. The idea of Exposure is as the name suggests, a personal project that gets me a little closer to random people around Singapore, where I call home, or whilst travelling.

To try to capture everyday life with a sense of respect, intimacy and spontaneity, simultaneously to help me get over my own lingering shyness interacting with people that I don’t know.

I prefer a naturalistic style of photography - from people to landscapes to objects - rather than anything too contrived or portraiture, so this site is not curated or art-directed to any great degree. I want the riot of colors and cultures of Asia to be the centre-piece, not my own artistic sensibilities. I hope you like some of the images you find here and perhaps it inspires you to see these amazing places for yourself.
