Bhutan
An incredibly beautiful and intriguing country; one that takes a little acclimatising to, given its lofty altitude and different pace. A surprise in the sense that everyone lives by the Buddhist principle of not harming living creatures; any meat that is consumed will have died naturally. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was being escorted by two friendly stray dogs. They acted as companions, staying with us until we had reached the base of Phobjikha valley. They didn’t even want food. Even canines are mindful in Bhutan!
